was held and human chain formed in front of engineering
institute, Dhaka on demand of reservation of 12
seats for disabled people in national parliament. |

10 February 2004-
ADD Dhaka programme for disabled people in upper
and middle class was launched. The programme was
inaugurated by the honorable mayor Sadek Hossain
Khoka, Dhaka City Corporation. |

09 March 2004-
A drama regarding disabled people and HIV was performed
in Jahangir Nagar University, Savar to promote awareness
of HIV AIDS in the mass and disabled people |

14 May 2004-
Dhaka regional disability drama festival was held
in central shaheed minar, dhaka. |

19 June 2004-
1st national disability convention was held in dhanmondi
women complex, dhaka, Bangladesh. Around three thousand
disabled people gathered in the complex. Solidarity,
Representation and Human Rights- was the slogan
of the convention. The programme was inaugurated
by the honorable speaker Zamir Uddin Sarker. |

14 August 2004
- PRSP programme for disabled people
in LGED was held. A synthesis paper jointly prepared
by ADD Bangladesh and Unnayan Sumannay regarding
inclusion of disabled people in PRSP was presented
in the round table meeting. The round table discussion
was inaugurated by the honorable state minister
of finance. |

19 September 2004-
Accessibility of transport programme was held in
Narayangonj. Reservation of two seats for disabled
people in buses in Narayangonj was declared on the
day. The programme was inaugurated by honoranle
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Harunar Rashid
Khan. All Bus Owner Associations of Narayangonj
who gave their total support to implement the issue
were present in the meeting. |
